my 18th bday cake
well guys, it looks like i'll be finally hopping on the bandwagon. i'm finally a semi-adult. and it also looks like raya's babysitting days are over! hahahaha..

all right.. i'm going to start from where i should... the day BEFORE my birthday! well, i got up quite late since my classes were cancelled and squishy and i got into a little bit of a rut. so i took a cab to college and after what supposedly were our classes, raya and i had lily take some photos (i'll be blogging them next week). after that, i finally got to see sharon whom i haven't seen for a year! yes people, my best friend of 8 years is finally back after leaving me in this crummy place for almost a year!

lily and arvin then picked me up from club 7 at about 4:30 and we made our way to 1U to go shopping for my birthday dress. lily drove (they rented a car for the weekend). when we got there, we started walking around and no matter where we went, there wasn't a perfect enough dress. lilykinz and i searched high and low all over the new wing and even attempted searching the old wing. but, strangely enough, lily found the cutest babydoll dress for me in the area where the two wings are joined to each other! now who would've tought eh?! since lily and i were walking around for hours trying to look for a dress so before meeting arvin at burger king, lily and i decided to have a knock at this little contraption that oto was letting passers-by try out for free. i actually got to watch lily's toe dance! and i mean that literally. we met up with arvin after reenergising our our aching tootsies and they both dropped me home. lily and i cooked dinner and they were with me till midnight. at about 11 squishy came over to be with me too *joy*.

and now, the big day itself... the morning started out normal. i woke up to a cat jumping on my stomach and kissing me to get me to play with her. my parents took me to tap class and then to great eastern mall where we had a yummy japanese lunch at kiku-zakura. the whole time, i honestly didn't know that everyone had a little something planned for me. the entire day i got calls and smses for my birthday and i made myself an emathyst bracelet and earrings to match my purple dress. squishy came over at about 6 in the evening and we only left the house at seven (we were really late apparently) after i was done prettyfying myself. by the time we got to klcc, farhaan and i actually speed walked all the way to the manhattan fish market-my fave restaurant. i'm a real freak for seafood for those of you who don't know. to my surprise, my poor darling babyjit was sitting all alone and started complaining that she had read the menu five times already! hahahaha.. but after that, raya, lily and arvin walked in and wow was i happy!

they even had a huge card signed for me and it was really cute. i've never had a more special birthday. farhaan got me a lovely purple swatch that matched my dress perfectly (i tucked my pink fendi away of course) and lily and arvin gave me a really pretty necklace with a funky silver heart pendant. raya also got me a little something.. a VERY little something. hahahaha. sharon said that she'll be getting me bunnies! yaaay! i really can't wait! i'm going to name one thumper-jit and the other, nibbler-jit.
we all then pigged out (especially me) and for dessert yayang had left a cake at the restaurant. we then took a polaroid shot and everyone looked lovely. after much laughing and talking, the night ended pretty well.. here are some snapshots of the night.

and now of course, this a picture of someone whom i hold very close to my heart. wait. he's IN my heart. this is my farhaan. thank you so much darling for pulling this whole thing together! i never expected it! you really put in an effort and i loved it! now you jus gotta sign the card! hahahaha..

well, so now i am 18. yesterday a child, today a semi-adult. hahahaha.. again, thanks so much you guys for everything!
