First of all, I’m the project manager for one of our major group assignments for CPM. We’re supposed to raise funds for a charitable organization (PAWS). So far, so good. Although I must honestly say that I feel we are being underestimated a lot of the time.

Proof I love animals- my feathers are FAKE!
Any-hoo, there was a group of us one day that went to the GH to check out what the conditions there were like. Our first stop was the pediatric building where we visited several wards and got to speak with the several parents that were there. Coincidentally, one of the babies that had been there his entire life was also named Farhaan. And of all the babies I had seen that day, he was the one that stole my heart. Despite being on a respiratory machine, that baby jumped and practically danced the entire time that we were there with him! I was really; really touched at that moment- he really was a happy baby.
Our next stop was the neurology building. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to do much there since it was so crammed and stuffy. But then again, it wasn’t surprising since we were there on a Saturday.
As the groups final stop, we went to the sakit jiwa ward. A place I have been several times. I think that out of everyone present that day, I felt the most comfortable. We were all happy that that was the last place that we visited. It was as Raya says, “Very uplifting!” and I couldn’t agree more. There were two patients who showed us around the ward and when he (Kamal) was introducing himself to me he said, “boleh cium tangan tak?” I instinctively yanked my hand away and said NOOOO! Hahaha. But despite that Kamal was still as friendly and continued showing us around. At one point he gestured us to where the toilet is and said, “tandas kat situ! Tapi tak leh pergi sebab busuk!” I swear to God that that just tickled my funny bone! Another thing that really cracked me up was how he later exclaimed, “I am joo-ith! Joo-ith! I am Yahudi! I went to the American-Vietnamese war!”
it was agreed later on that I had a fan in the ward. I even got his email address! But right now I bet you’re all wondering what happened to the second guy to show us around. Well, he was stuck to Raya. He even whispered into her ear, “Dik, tak takut ke pakai sexy sexy sangat?” Raya then replied with a casual ‘tak lah’ which resulted in a not-so-casual “adik tak takut ke kalau abang rogol adik?” despite the fact that I’m used to being in there and know what the people there are like, I cant deny that that was scary. But at the end of the day, to me all of them remain extremely child-like.
moving on to happier topics, the next day, I went for a zapin workshop with Raya and I LOVED it! Don’t have any pictures though. Later on, squishy and I met up with Sam Yucky, Alvin, Sharon and a whole bunch of Fairviewians as well as Doulat since it was his 19th birthday. So happy birthday Mukesh!

oh yes, before I end this entry, I promised that I’d tell you all about the shoot right? Well, BW films started to shoot my scene at the KTM platform (KL Sentral) at about 6 p.m. in order to finish at 10. things went totally smooth and at ten we were just about to wrap things up when the client came and decided to make some changes. Thus, we had to shoot everything all over again and only wrapped things up at 1:30 a.m. *sigh* boy was I bushed that night. But to me it was worth it. Haven’t done a TVC in years. Also, I surprisingly wore no make-up for the shoot. I’ve never been so flattered *wink*

in between the shoot locations. I was real bored waiting
