to me, both katharine mcphee and taylor hicks are there for very different reasons.. katharine mcphee is there because of her outstanding vocals but her biggest downfall is that she's a major snooze-fest on stage. also, she's the gratest form of 'sleeping pill' ever created! taylor hicks on the other hand has got soul! he's funky, load and he just has such a strong aura and presence about him.. but although he can sing, his vocals are still really weak. anyways, i was happy that he won. i was rooting for him during the preliminaries but during the final 12 i was rooting mainly for mandisa, elliott and paris. lisa proved a disappointment despite starting so strong early in the competition. i still see her as a very young natalie cole - both looks wise and vocally.

anyways, i hear that suing is starting to become a trend here in malaysia. but, if ever anyone were to stand up against any government body for grievances caused to them, and even if they won, the suing party never exactly sees 'the benjamins' that they're supposed to receive.. and they always say that noone is above the law. funny, no?

the other day, some dude came over to my house to drop over a balikbayan box (a cargo box pinoys use to send stuff back to their families) off. my mom answered the door and i was standing nearby with iman (my kitty kat) in my arms. this is what happened..

DING DONG
mom: yes? (takes box) oh thank you yeah!
me:cuddles iman nearby
delivery guy: wow! what a nice DOG you have there!
mom: that's not a dog.. that's our cat..
delivery guy: ohh.. sorry. i'm wearing my sunglasses so i can't really see..
me: *stares blankly* (riiight <--thinks in head)
mom: ok thanks bye!

syet wei... is iman really that fat ah sampai ade orang ingat she's a dog?! ok so i admit that she's a pretty big girl but i'll have you know that it's only because she's so fluffy. *sigh* fine. i admit that she is pretty heavy (4kg) and the vet has already told me to be careful she doesn't become overweight. but it's so hard to control how she eats when she shares food with ili. oh well..

took both the babies to the vet just now for their leukemia boosters. farhaan picked us up in the morning and the moment she got into the car, ili ran and took cover under farhaan's car seat. when we got to the vet, it took us a while to get her out cuz she got stuck for a bit and when we finally got her out, she had grease all over her head yuck! thing is, i can still smell it on her head till now even though i've been trying to get it off. what's worse is that i can't give her a bath till next week. nasib baik it's only on her head and didn't get anywhere else.

been looking online for universities to do my masters at. besides manila the only other really interesting/enticing masters to pursue is this one at hawaii pacific university. it's a master of arts in global leadership. syet. where am i gonna get rm100k from? anyways, my dear lily also finds the course interesting and so we're going to wait till hpu comes down in october to get more info. it'd be pretty cool if we got to continue together. yesssss.. our diabolical plans of world domination are slowly unfolding and materialising! muahahaha.. mom rather i go to florida though because i have family there. i admit that it would make everything easier.. but still.. either way, i'm stil keeping my options open.
