there are so many types of people in this world that amaze me. keeping in mind of course that 'amazing' can mean many things.
first of all - Malaysian men with weird sound effects and weird ways of getting attention. what's up with that? the only kind of attention you'll be receiving is the bad kind. and to think that i sometimes get asked about whether i feel safe in Manila. anyways, the other day, lily and i were walking to klcc during our lunch break and walked passed this cab driver dude leaning on a pillar like some heinous thing about to attack on its prey (in his case, unsuspecting tourists). as we walk past, he makes this noise that goes "pssssssssssssssssssssssssss..."lily just responded with a, "what do you expect that thing to do?" lily and i were so dumbfounded at his attempt of trying for our attention that we couldn't stop laughing our asses off! she thought that he sounded like he was deflating! hahahahaha... i just tought he sounded stupid.
next up, cabbies themselves... it's so hard these days to find a nice, decent driver who's willing to get you to your destination without creeping you out first. there was one time after tap class that i got into the cab i for one thought he was nuts. either that or he was stoned out of his mind! i get into the cab and tell him where to go and the first thing he says to me before even asking me how to get to my place is "lu tau itu kucing ah.. dia tak mau makan itu tikus tau! dia nak main aje! tikus tu ah, kawan dia tau!" wtf?!?!?!?! the rest of the ride has us making waaay too many emergency brakes. even just now lily and i had this maniacal -if there's such a word- driver take us back to our office. he kept staring at lily in ways he shouldn't have. asshole. i'm glad that he saw me glaring at him. oh god, i can't stand this too! i hate it when taxi drivers refuse to listen to you. for goodness sake i know where i live so i know the best way to get there. i had a terrible driver the other day and we were practically shouting at each other. serious. i never knew i was that ballsy.
but then again, there are some cabbies who are the absolute bomb! they drive super fast when you tell them you're late and some of them are happy to bitch about the entire world with you. others are able to carry decent conversation, smile, laugh and get amused when you sing! i love it when i have drivers like that. but i notice i get them in the mornings. a good way to start the day.
next up, the people on the train. they're so hard up for seats it's actually funny. lily and i got two seats on the monorail yesterday and right after lily and i had clearly taken our seats she still made us move over and squished in between everyone on that row! it left lily with the humpy part of her seat under her butt bone and as for me it was right in between my hiney. a weird doo-doo like kind of feeling. irk. i don't wanna go there. but that lady was amazing wasn't she? the best part is that she was totally oblivious to everything. and yes, it is annoying when people getting on don't let others alight first. remember your budi bahasa guys!
the same thing goes for people who get into lifts and just go up one floor. really wei, climbing up the stairs will get you there faster!
on a happier note, and moving on to the different kind of 'amazing' are my friends. sharon's going back on the 15 of Dec. man jitters, don't leave me! i'm gonna miss you so much! and lily, i just the love our lunchtime rendezvous we always have. i'm glad we decided to intern at the same place. mukesh, i just love you! thanks for always being there for me! and you'll always be too hott! hahahaha... raya, you're a nenek and very sily sometimes but you're such a sweetheart as well. and finally,zahirah... i've been missing you so much wei! we have to chill with each other whenever we can. ooh and i'm really into that song by the all american rejects! i keep headbanging when i hear it! you'd be so so proud of me! hehehe...
and of course farhaan. i really miss you yayang... but at the same time, i'm so happy that you're doing so well.. love you poopy! i'm so happy i got to spend time with you tonight.
i have to go get some sleep now. i'm really tired and i have a show to do tomorrow.. irk! i hope it goes well!wish me luck you guys!
